The newest member of the Hydra family! Packed with features that will revolutionize your underwater photography! In addition to a powerful 8000-lumen floodlight, built-in RGB LEDs allow the diver to use red as a focus light or one of the many different colors for limitless creative lighting effects.

Of course, the UV/Blue mode is also available for fluoro dives!

It is controlled via a simple knob/knob combination switch on the back. Thanks to the integrated LCD display, all important information (charge level, remaining burn time and mode) can be called up quickly and easily. You can even rotate the orientation of the LCD display depending on whether you use the light upright or upside down. For an even wider beam, an optional thread is available on the dome connector.

The Hydra 8000 features a 10,000 lumen burst mode that allows flash synchronization with your camera via fiber optic cable and allows you to use it as a flash unit when shooting macro.

An interesting feature of the new Hydra 8000 is the charging option via USB-C. The included charger has three ports that can be used to charge up to two batteries at the same time, as well as an additional port for convenient charging of your mobile phone, camera or tablet – for more clarity when travelling! The charger is based on the latest GaN technology, making it incredibly small, but still delivering 90 watts! Please charge the 8000 battery with the included charging block. Non-PD blocks drain the battery extremely strongly, so you’ll need to recharge it when it’s completely discharged.

Ball and YS mounts are included.

In the event of accidental water ingress, the light head of the Hydra 8000 is encapsulated extra waterproof and will not be damaged if it can be removed from the water immediately.

Like all Hydra Series lights, the light is remote controllable – just add the remote control and fiber optic cables when you’re ready.
