The difference between leasing and rent purchase?
In the case of a leasing contract, the leasing object is accounted for and amorted by the lessor. The leasing rate is directly deductible for the lessee as an expense (tax advantage).
The value added tax is due on each agreed payment and deductible as input tax at this amount.
In the case of the rental purchase, on the other hand, the rental property is activated in the fixed assets of the rental buyer and also depreciated by the rental buyer.
The rental purchase rate is recorded as interest and repayment. The value added tax is due on the sum of all payments to be made under the contract by the rental buyer and must be paid at the beginning of the rental purchase period.
